What Cards Really Mean…

Tarot is a funny thing. It’s a deck of 78 cards with various images and made up of four suits. All of the cards can have various meanings depending on the deck, if the card is upright or reversed, and what cards they are next to. Basically, a Tarot reading is a way of telling a story about your past, present, and future. Foretelling the future is what I call, “Forewarned is Forearmed.” Therefore, turning the darkness of the future into light to know what choices to make.

Let’s look at a few cards and some meanings. Let’s start with what most people think is one of the scariest cards to get in a reading.

DEATH – This card always makes people cringe. They always think that it means that either they or someone they love will die soon. Rarely does this card mean actual death. Most of the time it means Change or Ending. There has to be an ending to have a new beginning. Death and Rebirth. So maybe it has to do with the ending of a bad situation so that a new better situation can come to you.

DEVIL – Another fear bring card. Does it mean that evil is in or coming into your life? No! Take a good look at the card. It shows people in chains connected to the “devil.” Take a closer look and you will see that the only thing holding the people are themselves. Their chains are not locked. They are loose and they can walk away anytime. So what negative situation are you holding on to? What are you afraid of if you walk away? You are not bound to the negative, you are free to go.

TOWER – This card shows a tower on fire and crumbling. Does it mean that everything is falling apart? No. I can mean that but most of the time it simply means that something has to be torn down or changed to make room for something new. This is much like the Death card.

I could go on and on but I think that you get the point. Don’t always look for the dark side of things, take time to look at what it might really mean. Look at images and see what you see in them instead of just what the book(s) say that they mean. What does it say to YOU. That is what is most important. Look for the light before the dark, you just might be pleasantly surprised.

Blessed Be to ALL!

Writing…

Bug TypingGreetings to ALL!

For those that are interested and seem to like my books, I just thought I would let you know that I have started writing again. I’m not sure where this one is going. The words just would not leave me alone until I started typing. I keep thinking a novel of sorts but I’m not really sure. I have one chapter written, maybe finished, maybe not. I will have to find time to read what I wrote and see what still needs to be added. I had the title on the top of a page for days before I finally decided to start writing. 🙂 Now there is four or five pages.

If this doesn’t end up being a novel or novela or even if it does, as always, I ask my readers, “What would you like to read about?” Send me your ideas and I will see what I can do. I like to give my readers what they want to read.

Blessed Be!

Love and Happy Yule and New Year!

Breathing a sigh of relief…

So, I decided to play around with the formatting of my Blog page. I don’t know what happened but all was looking great until I clicked HOME and it took off to my Charlotte’s Mystical Web Store site. It wasn’t doing that before I changed the Theme. What to do now???

So, I checked all the pages, Who knows…

Finally… I don’t know how this could cause it, but the link page for Wicca for the Wise Witch must have been over-riding something. The only thing I could figure out to do was delete the 2 link pages, move the information to the other pages for the books.

IT WORKED!!!! 🙂

I may have lost some likes or comments and if i did, I’m sorry… 😦

Not sure if i learned anything about this stuff but, I got it fixed and maybe I will leave the “LINK” pages alone and just add a link if I need too.

Blessed Be!

Winter Solstice/Yule

Being Pagan we celebrate Yule which falls on the Winter Solstice on December 21st. It is a time much like Thanksgiving to me in that it is about family and sharing. It is not the big commercialized mess of Christmas because you don’t go out and buy stuff and spend all kinds of money that you don’t have. You make presents for each other. It’s not the price of the object or even if you completely need it or not. It’s the time and love that went into it. Maybe it’s a batch of your favorite cookies, a pie, pot holders, bath salts or a drawing to hang on your wall or refrigerator. They mean so much more because someone took their time to “make” it for you instead of just buying something that you probably really don’t want or need or that the kids will have destroyed by the end of the day.

Just think about it, if more people celebrated this way, no more people going into debt, no more re-gifting, no more “so-n-so will be buying me something so I have to buy them something.” Best of all, NO MORE Black Friday!!! People can stay home and be with their families, instead of camping out all week and then trampling or being trampled by the masses and adults acting like spoiled rotten children fighting over marked-down over-priced toys and such.

Which one sounds better to you? Think about it, December 21st all about family and love or December 25th all about money, debt, and giving a little man/elf in a red suit credit for everything that YOU work hard for…

Blessed Be and Happy Yule
